Newtown and Lozells is a mile north of Birmingham City Centre. We are a diverse multi-cultural area and our membership reflects the vibrant, international nature of the area. We offer a warm welcome to all as we believe all are one in Christ. We also have halls and rooms for hire and. Our main Sunday services are at 10.30 am (St George’s) and 10.45 am (St Paul and St Silas). Enjoy your visit to our website and may the Lord bless you.

Jesus says, “A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another: just as I have loved you, you are also to love one another. By this all people will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another.” John 13:34-35

I am the Way, the Truth and the Life

Our readings from John's Gospel continued on Sunday, as we heard Jesus explaining himself to his disciples. 'I am the way and the truth and the life', Jesus told Thomas, promising that if we follow him we have a relationship with God the Father. We pray that we would all trust in this promise this week.

Our regular Wednesday evening meetings resume this week: 6pm Bible Study and 7pm 3D course. All welcome!

Christ the Good Shepherd

On Sunday we heard the words of Jesus Christ comparing his role to that of a shepherd. We as his sheep are both corrected and directed by him. Rev. Eliakim gave us an important message in his sermon, reminding us of the need to follow our shepherd. Jesus is also the "front gate", the means by which all that is good enters our lives. But the thieves and robbers (also from John chapter 10) will try to sneak into our lives to destroy our lives in Christ.

Note that this week there is NO Wednesday Bible study group (usually at 6pm) or 3D course (usually at 7pm). Instead, we will support our churchwardens, Velma and Femi, as they are admitted as churchwardens by the Archdeacon. This service will take place at the church of St. John and St. Peter, Ladywood, at 7.30pm on Wednesday (10th May). All are welcome to attend! Our 3D course and Bible study will continue the following week (17th) May. Our Bible study will focus on Paul's letter to the Galatians.

Don't forget to bring food to share for our lunch together after the service this coming Sunday (14th May).
