This week Rev. Eliakim concluded an important two-part series on the importance of our trust and loyalty to God. We heard the story of Abraham, willing to sacrifice even his beloved son Isaac for the Lord. But God saved Isaac - it was just an amazing demonstration of Abraham and Isaac's faith in the Lord. Can we also put our trust in God in everything we do?
Wednesday 7pm prayer and Bible Study - all welcome! We will be continuing to look at the encouragement and challenge of Paul's letter to the Galatian Christians.
And don't forget our church BBQ is coming up after the service on Sunday 23rd July.
This week Rev. Eliakim welcomed us to the second half of 2017, and urged us to use this period to develop our knowledge of God. He talked with us about that difficult-to-understand passage in Matthew 10, where Jesus tells his disciples that they may come into conflict with the things that they hold dear, including even our families.
Let us pray that we can put our relationship with God before all earthly things.
Note that our Bible study and prayer time together will be at 7pm this week (because the 3D course has finished, we have moved it from 6pm to 7pm for our convenience).
