Newtown and Lozells is a mile north of Birmingham City Centre. We are a diverse multi-cultural area and our membership reflects the vibrant, international nature of the area. We offer a warm welcome to all as we believe all are one in Christ. We also have halls and rooms for hire and. Our main Sunday services are at 10.30 am (St George’s) and 10.45 am (St Paul and St Silas). Enjoy your visit to our website and may the Lord bless you.

Jesus says, “A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another: just as I have loved you, you are also to love one another. By this all people will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another.” John 13:34-35

Night Shelter at St. George's

A very Happy New Year to you all!

As many of you will know, we are once again hosting the Birmingham churches night shelter this winter. For the next 6 Saturday nights (from 6 Jan to 10 Feb) we will be hosting 12 homeless men in our church, providing them with dinner, a warm and safe place to sleep, and breakfast the following morning. We offer a warm welcome to all of them, and to our friends from St. Boniface in Quinton who are working alongside us in this project.

For further details on how you can get involved, please contact Ruth King or any of the church leaders. We will need help with setting up the room (on Saturday early evening), cooking breakfast and clearing up (on Sunday morning), and, if you can, financial support for the meals we are providing. Finally, of course, do remember the night shelter in your prayers.

"For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in" (Matthew 25:35).
