Jesus says, “A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another: just as I have loved you, you are also to love one another. By this all people will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another.” John 13:34-35

Recognizing Jesus for who He is

On Sunday we heard the story of the two disciples who met Jesus on the road to Emmaus. They did not recognize the resurrected Jesus until he broke the bread when they sat down to eat together (as shown in Rembrandt's painting).

In her talk, Parisa reminded us of the importance of acknowledging Jesus and what he has done for us. She urged us to follow the example of the two disciples by sharing the good news. Those who have faith, she told us, have to either "give it up" or "give it away" - share it with those around us.

In this spirit, our Bible study and prayer meetings continue on Wednesdays at 6pm in church.

On Sunday 14th May we will share lunch together after our service. Please bring what you can!
